Favorite Scriptures for Hope

The Bible is full of so many promises from God, and God is faithful so we can trust His Word completely and find hope.  Below are a few of my favorites that I cling to through difficult times.

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Philippians 4:4-8 (NIV)
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.

Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)
18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

Psalm 40:1-51 (NIV)
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry.
 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
       He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV)

Psalm 25:4-5,12,14,20-21 (NIV)
